Every year, the Lexington Music Club gives a public concert, highlighting the talents of its members and raising money for scholarships at Lexington High School.
Lexington High School is known for its excellent music program, and the town itself is home to many wonderful musicians. The Lexington Music Club was formed to provide opportunities for musicians to perform informally in house concerts, often as a prelude to a recital or other public performance, and to support younger musicians in their studies. In addition to house concerts, the club presents a public concert once a year, with the proceeds from ticket sales and donations funding one or two scholarships for Lexington High School students who plan to continue their music studies in college.
This year, our public concert will be on Saturday, March 14, 2020 8 p.m. at Follen Church, 755 Mass. Av. in Lexington. Admission is free, with a $20 suggested donation to support the scholarship fund. We hope you can join us and help support young musicians!
The concert will be followed by a reception and a chance to meet the performers and other members of the club. We hope to see you there!
